Since 1999, Christchurch South Community Gardens Trust (CSCGT) has provided educational and research opportunities placements through hands-on work experience.
Our mission is to support neighbourhood sustainability by building community and sharing skills across three key areas: crop production, skill development, and community wellbeing.

Crop Production
We produce an average of 10 tonnes of product per year including produce, plants, compost, preserves and other value-added products.
What we do…
Skill Development
We help workers build gardening and community outreach skills by providing hands-on horticultural experience, space to practice, and educational programs.
Social Wellbeing
We create spaces that bring people together, support neighbourhood sustainability, and improve the environment.
